Celebrate Winter Solstice at Summit Estate — Family-Friendly Twilight Gathering

Due to overwhelming interest in ourMembers-Only Winter Solstice Celebration, which is now completelysold out, we’re excited to offer asecond, separate eventto ensure more of our community can join us in welcoming the season.

Thisopen to all, family friendly twilight eventwill take place onSaturday, 28th June, a week after the members celebration. It’s timed perfectly with the start of the school holidays, making it the ideal opportunity to bring your little ones, extended family, and friends for a relaxed and magical evening in the vineyard.

Join us at Summit Estate on Saturday, 28th June 2025, as we embrace the magic of Winter Solstice, the shortest day of the year, with warmth, music, fire, and fine wine. 

Event Highlights

Starts at 3 PM

Ease into the celebration with the soulful sounds of the talented Sue Ray, performing live as you sip and relax. 

Delicious Hot Food

A local food truck will be on-site serving hearty hot meals to keep you cosy. 

Wine & Grazing Boxes

Visit our cellar door to pick up a glass or bottle of Summit Estate wine, and indulge in one of our beautifully curated Grazing Boxes, featuring locally sourced cheeses, charcuterie, and antipasto delights. 

Warm Up Around the Fire

Whether you choose to settle inside the cellar door, out on the terrace, or around our glowing fires in the vineyard, you’ll find the perfect spot to unwind and connect. 

Evening Entertainment

As dusk settles, be mesmerised by Tyrone from Mad Cap Fire Twirling, lighting up the night with a spectacular fire performance — followed by the dramatic burning of the Wickerman, a fiery tradition to honour the turning of the season. 

Dance Under the Stars

As the night unfolds, keep the celebration going with music, conversation, and a glass of your favourite wine under the Southern sky. 

Important Notes: 

• Date: Saturday, 28th June 2025 
• Non-ticketed event— first come, best dressed!
• Dress warmly— most entertainment is outdoors and the evening can be cool. 
• Limited tables and chairs— feel free to bring picnic rugs or low chairs for comfort. 
• No BYO food or alcohol— our wines and grazing boxes are available for purchase from the cellar door.

Summit Estate Winter Solstice is celebrated every year on the shortest day of the year which is in June.

Your unforgettable afternoon begins with a convenient courtesy busthat will pick you up from designated locations in Stanthorpe and take you to our beautiful Vineyard, arriving at 3:00 pm.

Upon arrival, you’ll be welcomed with live music and a glass of our Sparkling Shiraz, Sparkling Marsanne, or our signature Mulled Wine.

Enjoy grazing platters to share while you socialise around the fire and vineyard, all while listening to the talented Sue Ray play live music.

Wines of your choice, along with other beverages, will be available for purchase at the cellar door.

A delicious buffet dinner, prepared by Southern Downs Catering, will be served in a relaxed setting. Choose to dine in the cellar door, on the terrace, or around the fire, wherever you feel most comfortable.

As the sun sets, Tyrone from MadCap Fire Twirlingwill light up the night with a captivating fire performance, followed by the dramatic burning of the Wickerman as the evening unfolds.

Continue to dance, socialise, and enjoy desserts under the stars in the vineyard.

At the end of the night, our courtesy bus will return you to Stanthorpe at either 8:00 pm or 9:00 pm.

This is an adults-only event.

Enjoy an exclusive, relaxed atmosphere designed just for adults, no children, no distractions, just a perfect evening for you and your friends.

Please note: Most of the entertainment takes place outdoors, so be sure to dress warmly for the cooler evening temperatures.
